Douglas Gray
Douglas Gray is a Yorkshire born artist specialising in contemporary figurative and landscape oil paintings. He studied at Scarborough College, gaining a Higher National Diploma in Advertising and Illustration, and went on to achieve a distinction in illustration from Doncaster College of Art.
After forging a highly successful path working for an impressive array of international clients including Pepsi and Universal studios in the USA, and a diverse range of companies in Australia and the far east, Douglas began to concentrate his efforts into two areas; book jacket design for several major UK publishers, and portraiture. The latter provided his entry into the world of fine art, and his portraits made a strong impression on a number of celebrity collectors.
His original paintings are in private collections across Europe and the USA, and are highly sought after. He is represented in the UK by Galleries in London and York, exhibiting in both solo and joint exhibitions.
