Mark Weston

Born in 1961, Mark has drawn and painted since early childhood. He studied at West Sussex College of Art (now Northbrook College) and at Leicester Polytechnic in the early 1980's.

He staged his first one man exhibition in Arundel in 1991 and subsequently has arranged a number of his own shows. Four of these were held at a hotel venue in Pulborough (from 2002 to 2005).

In 2006 he held his first exhibition at the Oxmarket Centre of Arts in Chichester. He has also exhibited in galleries throughout the area including Portsmouth City Museum & Art Gallery, Salisbury Museum and at the Llewelyn Alexander Gallery in London.

As well as taking inpiration from his native West Sussex Mark has long enjoyed painting the North Cornish coast and now exhibits in the area.
Colour provides much of the motivations for his work, whether this is the subtle shades of winter landscape or the vibrant hues of the Mwditerranean. Mark works in a variety of media; including watercolour, watercolour and ink and acrylic.

His paintings have sold well in the UK and have been taken abroad to countries in Europe, USA, Australia and Bermuda.
